Male counselors needed at Woodsmoke

WOODSMOKE is a true camping adventure! Young people learn a variety of outdoor skills, learn about the surrounding environment, live and work in a community, and develop spiritually.

View the Woodsmoke Mission Statement >>

WOODSMOKE hosts 4 age groups each week—5th-6th grade, 7th-8th grade and 9th-12th —with a maximum of 10 campers per group. Two experienced counselors supervise each group. Camp staff includes a registered nurse, program director, lifeguard, food-service and project management staff, and site manager.

Activities include:

• Swimming in beautiful spring-fed
Hathaway Pond
• Boating, canoeing and learning
about pond creatures
• Nature walks and conservation
activities that benefit local wildlife
populations
• Service projects such as restoring
centuries-old settler ruins and
designing new trails and learning how
to get involved in service projects
outside of camp
• Arts and crafts, including creating
educational puzzles and games for kids in Bolivia

WOODSMOKE’s rustic, peaceful setting, removed from the distractions of everyday modern life, provides an excellent opportunity for young people to develop their own sense of spirituality. We discuss and consider different spiritual beliefs. Campers are encouraged to grow spiritually. They learn to live and work together in a community, as well as the value of service and outreach through the completion of service projects that help make Kingswood a better place. Each project teaches a variety of skills such as project design, research, and carpentry.

Come and have a great time with us this summer—meet new and old friends, gain skills, and enjoy the outdoors! We’ll see you there!
