Kingswood is a 766 acre site in the Catskill Mountains at Hancock, New York. Huge forests, open fields, stunning views, rolling hills. Open to families, small groups, couples. A quiet, natural setting in which development of positive, cooperative experiences is encouraged. This setting provides opportunities for strengthening of families, nurturing of friendships, renewing of spirit, and growing in respect for God's Creation. Two types of folks arrive each summer... those who haven't camped here before and those who would never camp anywhere else again!

Kingswood is the setting for several programs. Families, couples, and friends can rent one of our unique campsites anytime during the summer, and hike the trails, swim and boat in the lake, just relax, or take part in special events (see below). In addition, campers can participate in the new Stone Ministry program, walk the fern-covered Prayer Trail, or go to Sunday service at the outdoor chapel overlooking the lake.

The Woodsmoke Camp for Kids provides an opportunity for kids to spend time away from home learning about the environment, discussing spiritual views, having fun swimming, hiking, and of course, making friends. Woodsmoke takes place during two one-week sessions at the end of July. Read the FAQ about Woodsmoke here.

Service events take place throughout the year and are a great opportunity for all ages to become more involved, get to know other camping community members, and give back to the camp.

The Farmhouse is available for rentals from mid-September to late May for retreats, reunions and group and family gatherings.

Finally, in whichever way you get to Kingswood, we are sure you will enjoy its beauty, nature, community, and peaceful setting.

Kingswood is one of three ACA accredited camps owned and operated by the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and is a nonprofit organization.
